Ursula Trost is a dynamic and ambitious architect with a deep passion for design practicing in different fields of architecture and working within a variety of scales. She currently lives and works in New York City.
Ursula Trost holds a Master Degree in Architecture and studied at the University of Applied Arts Vienna and the Southern California Institute of Architecture. Before she was trained as an interior and 3D Designer. Among her mentors are Wolf D. Prix, Hani Rashid and Coy Howard. She has gained working experiences in several firms, including Coop Himmelb(l)au, Ortner und Ortner and BUS Architects. Besides practicing as a design architect, she has proficiency as a BIM modeler and planner and has taught workshops at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
She is driven by curiosity and inspired by the architectural experience transforming the status quo. As a conceptual and analytical thinker Ursula Trost aims to design dynamic architecture that not only considers the human body but also the mind, the senses, and the environment. Her multidisciplinary approach incorporates natural systems, geometrical phenomena and elements from a wide range of art forms. She rethinks and synthesizes material and spatial complexity to create highly atmospheric spaces.
